When you use an enterprise account on , the enterprise account is the central point for all billing within your enterprise, including the organizations that your enterprise owns.

If you use Enterprise Cloud with an individual organization and do not yet have an enterprise account, you create an enterprise account and add your organization. For more information, see Creating an enterprise account.

If you created a trial of Enterprise Cloud on or after August 1, 2024, you use usage-based billing to pay for your licenses. With usage-based billing, you pay for the number of licenses you use each month. You do not need to buy a predefined number of licenses in advance.

Important

If you currently pay for your Enterprise licenses through a volume, subscription, or prepaid agreement, you will continue to be billed in this way until your agreement expires. At renewal, you have the option to switch to the metered billing model.

For Enterprise Cloud customers with an enterprise account, bills through your enterprise account on .com. For invoiced customers, each invoice includes a single bill charge for all of your paid .com services and any Enterprise Server instances. Administrators for your enterprise account on .com can access and manage billing for the enterprise. For more information, see Roles in an enterprise.

You can connect an Azure Subscription ID to your enterprise account to enable and pay for any usage-based billing for . For example, Codespaces usage, and for Actions or Packages usage, beyond the amounts included with your account. See Connecting an Azure subscription.

To access the billing platform for your enterprise:

  1. In the top-right corner of , click your profile photo.
  2. Depending on your environment, click Your enterprise, or click Your enterprises then click the enterprise you want to view.
  3. At the top of the page, click Billing & Licensing.
